I will have a narrative in my music video, therefore the main characters that will play the boyfriend and girlfriend in my music video will be my friends. Once I had chosen the song and setting, I began to make decisions regarding cast and filming. The main singer will also be the girlfriend that is being presented, due to the song being about a breakup I will show these characters in a happy relationship at first and towards the end I will show them unhappy and broken up.
Therefore, to make my idea successful and create the right atmosphere to go with the song, it was crucial that I chose a suitable cast. I decided that I needed a band 4+. Also the main singer had to be a female otherwise the lip syncing wouldn't of looked real as the person that sings the song is a female, and the narrative revolves around her. I also made sure I had people that could already play interments to make it look as real as possible.
For the lead female singer I had to think of someone that was confident and outgoing. Talia can sing and also likes drama, so I chose her as I believed she would be the best actress for the music video. Also she looks the part as well as looking the part and being suitable for the target audience as she will appeal to them.

Lyric Summary
The lyrics in this song could be seen as aggressive, due to a girl explaining her feelings towards a man that she once loved. The song is about a breakup and how it has effected the girl but has a aggressive twist to it; which isn't like regular break up songs as you would usually see in the pop genre. Therefore this twist immediately represents the indie/punk genre as it is rebellious and is similar to songs created by Avril Lavigne and The Ting Tings. After analyzing the lyrics, I decided I want to portray the lyrics through visuals; which links to Goodwin's Theory. Consequently, I have highlighted lyrics that portray her emotions; where triplets and repetition are used to emphasize. Therefore having fast camera shots to show her anger and a wide variety of her as the main focused I believe would work best in order to convey these lyrics through the music video. I also think when the lyric 'take me down' is sung, it would be interesting to use different low angle shots to make her seem low and vulnerable.

My Chosen Song Lyrics
Why did you leave, leave me for here?
All on my own, dragged me out by my hair
Spit it out, spit out in my face
Everyone saw I just can't hid the shame
Do you know it's not okay to be like that
Try to be a man and not that boy in the corner
Really makes me wonder if there's anyone anyone, anyone out there who knows how it goes down
Didn't think you'd be the one to take me down
down, down, down
Lala, like you never did before
Didn't think you'd be the one to take me down
down, down down
There was not a final end in sight
Never had to make a choice before between to you
Didn't you know darling, you just weren't made for me, you just weren't made for me
I use to think it was you and me against the world
You said it was okay to be like that
Didn't know what was right, I just didn't have the fight in me, just couldn't fight
Didn't think you'd be the one to take me down
down, down, down
Lala, like you never did before
Didn't think you'd be the one to take me down
down, down, down
There was not a final end in sight
So I was breaking free, and growing up and growing strong
but in myself ...all the feelings they were so wrong
I've be cured, I was cured of my infliction
and all the infliction I felt before was gone
Didn't think you'd be the one to take me down
down, down, down
Lala, like you never did before
Didn't think you'd be the one to take me down
down, down down
There was not a final end in sight
So I was breaking free, and growing up and growing strong
but in myself...all the feelings they were so wrong
I've been cured, I was cured of my infliction

Filming Schedule
I plan to film my video over the time of two weeks, this is due to my band that will be in the music video as all of them are available at different types. This allows me to film each section at a time; while also allowing me to edit my music video, using different techniques.
20\11\15-First of all, due to the genre of my music video being indie pop, the bands performance would be a key part in a lot of sections of the song I have chosen. Therefore I decided I should film this section first due to it being a key feature and also being able to get all the band together at one time. Also this part in the song will take the longest due to having to film many different shots of the band and of the instruments and making sure the band stay serious and focused. This scene will be in the at home garage
21/11/15-I will then film the parts of Talia where she is on her own lip syncing, I will film in a variety of different places such as: her bedroom, outdoors road\park. This is to convey her being a fun member of the band as she is the most important due to being the lead singer. These shots may also take up a lot of time due to outfit changes, changes of location and camera shots/movements. Therefore I will film this on the weekend as it gives me plenty of time to film.
25\11\15 -Then I will film Talia and Nathan, I will film the parts that portray them to be in a happy relationship at first as these bits will be the shortest due to it only being portrayed as this at the start of the song. Then after that, I will film the couple in my house, to show the now relationship between the singer and her ex boyfriend. Therefore due to filming happy and sad parts of the relationship it will display contrast and also represent the lyrics through the visuals. I will first film the couple looking happy in a quirky location such as a park, then I will film them not getting along in my house to create realism. I will also film Talia throwing a picture frame on the floor to represent their relationship failing. I will film this on a weekday after sixth form.
30/11/15 - Due to there being a need for a lot of close ups of the main singer, I will film Talia in various locations to create a quirky\unique feel to the music video, while also portraying her to the target audience. I plan to film against a gate to create an urban and cool feel I will use low and high angle shots in these scenes.
5\12\15 -The last scene I will film will be of the band in different quirky locations, therefore places like a park or a field or a strangely lighted room, this is to create a band identity and also to make the audience see them as a fun band that they want to be or be friends with. I will get many different shots such as close ups of each band member and the instrument they are playing, while also getting mid shots of the bands clothing to show they are a indie band.
